the Genesee Waterways Center's annual lockapalooza at lock 32 right here in beautiful rochester ny :)

i already had rented the 70-200L 2.8 so it was def. worth bringing to the water to try out

well August is looking to be a busy busy month!

The camera gear is going to get a work out each weekend, making it tough to process and shoot during the week. Especially since my real job is busy too!

but i can't complain, and i promise i'll still get a shot per day! :)
they just might get posted in batches LOL

what a great cause!

newest update: these are going to get auctioned at the bouting for boobies tournament! Proceeds are going to the breast cancer coalition of rochester..

so these are some of my personal favorite images from the evening.

for the camera-techy folks-
i gotta mention that I rented a 70-200L 2.8 for this event and put it on my 7D.

it took a little bit to get used to the lens, but man, once i let myself set the iso way up
(read- 3200 and 6400!!) i got super excited about this combo.

whitewater challengers

these are photos of our most recent rafting trip to the black river - July '10! what a great fricken time :) These were taken by the great folks at Whitewater Challengers, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great time on the water.

They only took photos at one set of rapids. They documented us running them and then going back upstream to surf the last hole in the set. :)

heather had a disposable water camera too, obviously not of anything like this. but once those are developed i'll probably put them up here too..
